Consists of a conveyance of land and a quitclaim between Richard Hurst and Susanna Hurst, 1629 Apr. 18 and 19, in Latin (1 p. each, manuscript on vellum); a warrant for the arrest of Jeremiah Curties, 1807 Apr. 25, signed by Ellenborough [i.e. Edward Law Ellenborough, baron, 1750-1818] ([2] p. on 1 lf., printed document completed in manuscript); a letter, 1776 May 20, Sarah Andrews to Miss Rose ([3] p. on 1 lf., holograph signed, with address panel); a letter, 1827 Oct. 30, Joseph Ady to the Earl of. Eglinton [i.e. Archibald William Montgomerie, 13th earl of Eglinton, 1812-1861] (1 p., holograph signed, with address panel); two envelopes, a Mulready [184-] stamped with a Maltese cross in red ink and another [n.d.] stamped "Saved from the wreck of the [Co?]lombo"; an invitation to a banquet, 1839 Oct. 29, in honor of the Earl of Eglinton [i.e. Archibald W. Montgomerie, 13th earl] (1 p., printed with elaborate decorative border); and royal signatures, one by Queen Victoria [n.d.] written on a. Fragment of an official document with paper seal. The 1776 letter concerns social visits (most in the vicinity of Wiltshire and Hampshire counties) and includes a recipe for a medical cure. The 1827 letter offers threatening information in exchange for money.
